Trademark
A trademark can be a text, word, sign or graphic. In addition to common trademarks, colors, product shapes or movements, holograms, sounds, and smells can all be considered trademarks. Trademarks are not limited to a single type and may also be a combination of two or more of the above elements.
The main function of a trademark is to identify the source of goods or services in the market and to distinguish them from those of others.

Exclusive period: 10 years from the date of registration, and can be extended for 10 years each time after expiration

Special regulations
According to Taiwan regulations:
The number of designated goods for trademarks in categories 1 to 34 is limited to 20 items. From the 21st item onwards, an excess item fee of NT$200 will be charged.
The designated services of the 3519 retail and wholesale group in Category 35 are limited to 5 items. From the 6th item onwards, an additional fee of NT$500 will be charged.
